The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is a former city gate and one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany. It is located west of the city center at the junction of Unter den Linden and Ebertstraße, immediately west of the Pariser Platz. It is the only remaining gate of a series through which one formerly entered Berlin. One block to the north stands the Reichstag building. The gate is the monumental entry to Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees which formerly led directly to the city palace of the Prussian monarchs. It was commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia as a sign of peace and built by Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1788 to 1791. The Brandenburg Gate was restored from 2000 to 2002 by the Stiftung Denkmalschutz Berlin (Berlin Monument Conservation Foundation). Today, it is considered one of Europe's most famous landmarks

Nieuw-Weerdinge

Nieuw-Weerdinge is een veenkolonie ten noordoosten van het zanddorp Weerdinge. Het bestaat uit lintbebouwing langs het Weerdingerkanaal, met halverwege het dorp een aantal nieuwbouwwijken. Nieuw weerdinge heeft een groot buitengebied dat voornamelijk bestaat uit landbouwgrond. Het gebied dat ten noorden van Nieuw Weerdinge en ten zuiden van de Valtherdijk ligt, worden 'De Vledders' genoemd. Ten oosten van het dorp ligt Het Noordveen, dit gebied loopt tot het dorpje Weerdinge. Het gebied ten zuid-oosten van Nieuw weerdinge wordt 'Het Siepelveen' genoemd, de zuid-west kant heet 'Het Roswinkelerveen'.

New York State University (Trailercam) Amherst North Campus The State University of New York, abbreviated SUNY (pronounced /ˈsuːniː/) is a system of public institutions of higher education in New York, United States. It is the largest comprehensive system of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the world,[2] with a total enrollment of 438,361 students, plus 1.1 million continuing education students spanning 64 campuses across the state. The SUNY system has 83,547 faculty members and some 6,650 degree and certificate programs overall. SUNY includes many institutions and four University Centers: Albany (1844), Binghamton (1946), Buffalo (1846), and Stony Brook (1957). SUNY’s administrative offices are in Albany. The State University of New York was established in 1948 by then-Governor of New York, Thomas E. Dewey, through legislative implementation of recommendations made by the Temporary Commission on the Need for a State University (1946-1948). The Commission was chaired by Owen D. Young, then-Chairman of the General Electric Company. The system was greatly expanded during the administration of Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller, who took a personal interest in design and construction of new SUNY facilities across the state. Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are located in the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea about 150 miles south of Cuba. The Cayman Islands are made up of three main islands. The largest and most developed, Grand Cayman, has a population of about 35,000 and is 76 square miles or 22 miles long and 8 miles at its widest point. Grand Cayman stands 90 miles away from Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, which are separated by only 5 miles. Cayman Brac is the next largest island, with 1600 inhabitants on 14 square miles or 12 miles long and 1 mile at its widest spot. Cayman Brac has the highest point in all of the Islands with the impressive "Bluff" that rises 140 feet out of the sea. The smallest island is appropriately named, Little Cayman. This islands' 10 square miles of land is home to a population nearing 150.
